Engine-agnostic text-to-speech pipeline for Nepali/English newsrooms — speakable normalisation → edge-tts (Python WordBoundary stream, CLI fallback), Piper offline, or a custom engine → audio + word timings aligned back to the ORIGINAL text (engine events or estimates scaled to the real duration read from WAV/MP3 bytes, zero deps) → captionsync-ready segments. Retry with backoff + voice fallback ladder, voice registry, content-hash cache. BYO engine binary; no keys.
